China claims no proof linking Masood Azhar to JeM, India submits audio tapes

Sources on Wednesday told India Today TV that India has provided evidence in the form of audio tapes that link Masood Azhar to terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
In the dossier handed over to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), audio tapes have been submitted of Masood Azhar speaking as the Jaish chief.
It comes amid China's persistent stance over lack of proof linking Masood Azhar to JeM. The country says that there has been no evidence in the past decade linking Masood Azhar to Jaish activities.
China is the only Security Council permanent member which remains non-committal on India’s position on Masood Azhar ahead of the March 13 deadline to to designate him as a global terrorist.
The Pak-based terror outfit has claimed responsibility for the suicide attack on Central Reserve Police Force or CRPF in Pulwama which claimed the lives of over 40 personnel.
Amidst a mounting global outrage in the wake of the Pulwama attack that led to a flare-up in tensions between India and Pakistan, US, Britain and France hope that Beijing would act wisely and would not oppose their move against Azhar.
