Manish Mandhana, CEO of Salman Khan's Being Human brand, has been charged with assault.
In her complaint, 33-year-old model Andria D'Souza has alleged that Manish Mandhana physically assaulted her in November, 2017.
Andria D'Souza told police that Manish hit her which led to hearing loss in one ear.
Based on her complaint filed at Gamdevi police station on March 4, police charged Mandhana under Section 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) of the Indian Penal Code.
Manish Mandana leads the Mumbai-based textile company Mandana Industries. The company's business includes designing, yarn designing, yarn dyeing, weaving, processing, dyeing and garment manufacturing.
In the year 2013, Mandhana became the official licensee manufacturing brand for Being Human Clothing to design, manufacture and distribute all Being Human merchandise. They are Being Human’s exclusive partners until 2028.
Being Human brand is licensed by a charitable trust under the same name set up by Bollywood actor Salman Khan in 2007. The foundation works to provide education and healthcare to the underprivileged.
Besides Salman Khan’s massively popular brand, Mandhana has partnerships with other premium brands such as Pepe Jeans, Allen Solly, Tommy Hilfiger and River Island.
