Sara Ali Khan ended 2018 with a bang. With her very first film, Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath, which released on December 7, she won the hearts of the audience as well as the critics. She played Mandakini aka Mukku, the daughter of a pandit, who falls in love with a Muslim pitthoo, played by Sushant Singh Rajput.
Later that month, she was seen opposite Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty's Simmba, which went on to earn over Rs 200 crore at the domestic box office and over Rs 350 crore worldwide.
Now, Sara has kicked off the new year with "new beginnings" - she has moved out of her mother Amrita Singh's house into an apartment of her own. After a picture of her stacking cartons of household items in the back of a car went viral and sparked speculation that she was shifting, she took to her Instagram account to make the announcement.

On the work front, speculation is rife that Sara has been signed for David Dhawan's remake of Coolie No 1 opposite Varun Dhawan. She will step into Karisma Kapoor's shoes and it is said that the makers are tweaking the script to ensure that she gets a meatier role in the remake.
Buzz is that the Coolie No 1 remake will go on floors in July and hit the screens sometime next year.
