BJP: Congress has put posters of 2 criminals, Rahul Gandhi and Robert Vadra, outside its office

The BJP has alleged that Robert Vadra was hands in glove with the middlemen involved in the AgustaWestland scam.
A day after Priyanaka Gandhi returned to India from the US and got an office as the Congress's newest general secreatry, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has hit out at her husband Robert Vadra. The BJP has alleged that Robert Vadra was hands in glove with the middlemen involved in the AgustaWestland scam.
Addressing a press cponference in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said Vadra's firms received kickbaks through multiple deals.
Robert Vadra has to appear before the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case.
Patra said the Congress has put out posters of "two criminals" in front of its office in Delhi.
This was in reference to the posters of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Robert Vadra that were put up outside the Congress headquarters.
"Poster of two criminals has been put in front of Congress office. Both of them are out on bail. Criminal No.1 Rahul Gandhi in connection with National Herald case and criminal No.2 Robert Vadra who has to appear before the ED today in connection with money laundering case," Sambit Patra said.
"The 2019 battle is between gang of corruption and administration with transparency," he said.
Meanwhile, Manoj Arora, a close aide of Robert Vadra, reached Delhi's Patiala House Court in connection with a money laundering case.
In his press conference, Sambit Patra alleged that Vadra benefited from a petroleum and a defence deal which took place in 2008-09 when the UPA was in power.
Patra claimed that Vadra, brother-in-law of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, utilised the money to buy posh properties worth several crore rupees in London.
Quoting an e-mail trail, he alleged that Vadra's company received "kickbacks" from a series of companies floated to "turn black money into white".
"The 2019 Lok Sabha election is a fight between the gang of corrupt versus transparency of Narendra Modi government," he said.
Vadra is expected to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday in connection with the money laundering case relating to alleged possession of illegal foreign asset.
