Krushna Abhishek opens up on Navjot Singh Sidhu's ouster and #BoycottKapilSharma trend

Navjot Singh Sidhu
Krushna Abhishek has talked about Navjot Singh Sidhu's exit from The Kapil Sharma Show and more.
The Kapil Sharma Show comedian Krushna Abhishek at a recent event opened up about the ongoing controversy surrounding Navjot Singh Sidhu's comments on Pulwama terror attack and his subsequent ouster from the comedy show. It is being said that Sidhu has been replaced by Archana Puran Singh, but the same has not been made official as yet. While Sidhu has denied receiving any intimation about his termination, Archana said she hadn't been approached by the channel for the show and has just shot for two episodes in absence of Sidhu.
"I don't know what's going on but currently the country's atmosphere is not right. Everyone is mourning. We have already shot a few episodes with Archana Puran Singh. But, Archana has told some media house that she hasn't yet signed the full contract. I would only be able to comment after having a word with the channel," Krushna was quoted saying by DNA at a recent media event.
Krushna also said that he was not aware of what Kapil said about Sidhu's Pulwama attack comments and the #BoycottKapilSharma trend. "I don't know what Kapil has said and what statement he has given. I don't even have any knowledge about Kapil's boycott on Twitter," he said.
The comedian has supported the ban of Pakistani artists in India by Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and AICWA (All Indian Cine Workers).
"It's good. Ashok Pandit and team have made the right decision. If Salman Khan has decided to drop Atif Aslam from his film then I fully support his stand," he added.
