Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a cabinet meeting at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj today. This is the first time during Adityanath's tenure as the chief minister that an official meeting was held outside Lucknow.
Uri, a Bollywood movie based on the surgical strikes carried out against Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been made SGST-free in Uttar Pradesh.
ANNOUNCEMENTS ADITYANATH MADE AFTER THE MEETING:
- The state cabinet welcomed the Centre's decision to file petition in the Supreme Court for the release of excess land acquired around the disputed site in Ayodhya and be handed over to the Ram Janambhoomi Nyas.
- "Ram temple is the matter of faith for the people of this country. We should get the permission for construction on the non-disputed land," Adityanath said.
- "There is a movie on the surgical strikes 'Uri'. The cabinet has decided to exempt it from state GST. This film will instil a feeling of nationalism in the youth and the citizens of the country," Adityanath said.
- Furthermore, the state cabinet has also approved the construction of the Bundelkhand Express. It is expected to be 270-km long.
- A Ganga Express Way will be constructed. The express way will connect western Uttar Pradesh to Prayagraj.
- Leprosy patients will be given free accomodation under the Mukhyamantri Aawas Yojana.
- The 90-km long Gorakhpur Link on the Purvanchal Express way has also been approved.
