Pakistan's spokesperson of the Foreign Office Dr Mohammad Faisal said that the final decision on Kashmir should be made by the UN and says that Kashmir is not India's internal matter.
The foreign office also said that construction of the Kartarpur corridor will continue to facilitate Sikh pilgrims to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, situated in the Punjab district of Pakistan, the Pakistan Tribune reported.
Pakistan's Foreign Office also urged the the international community to take notice of the gross abuse being carried out in the occupied valley.
Dr Mohammad Faisal further added that India deploying additional troops in Pakistan is “torture” and that it underscores the fact that Kashmir is a humanitarian crisis. He also refuted reports of banned Jammatud Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed had been released.
India in the meanwhile, termed Pakistan's announcement to downgrade diplomatic ties with it as an attempt to present an alarming picture to the world about relations between the two countries.
The Ministry of External Affairs said the Constitution was, is and will always be a sovereign matter and recent developments pertaining to Article 370 are entirely India's internal affair. It further added that India regretted the steps announced by Pakistan on Wednesday, and urged Islamabad to review them so that normal channels for diplomatic communications are preserved.
