It's been more than a year since we saw Shruti Haasan in films. She took a break from work to pursue her career in music and also took some time off to take care of her health. Now, the actress is back in the radar and has signed a Tamil and Telugu film each.
In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, the Katamarayudu actress opened up about being trolled and criticised. Stating that she isn't bothered about it anymore, she said that she also felt sad in the initial stages.
She said, "Honestly, I have not been mocked down recently, but there are a lot of people who say 'oh she is getting married, 'she has become fat,' all of this. At that point, it really hurts because I knew I had health issues. I knew that I have never ever taken enough time in 10 years to take care of myself, and every human being deserves that. I needed some love, silence and self-introspection to be really me."
Shruti revealed that she remains unfazed by the criticism and realised how important her life is. "I have got a lot of criticism and it doesn't bother me anymore, but I realise that for everybody, their own life is the most important thing. In that case, my own life is the most important thing for me," she added.
The actress wrapped up a schedule of Laabam, in which she is paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi. Her Telugu film is yet to be announced. Meanwhile, she has also been roped in for an American series titled Treadstone.
