Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan celebrated Diwali along with his family just like anyone else. He posted the pictures of the celebrations on social media just like anyone else. Little did he know this would make him the target of religious extremists who trolled him for celebrating a Hindu festial.
The actor was spotted with a tilak on his head on the photo that he shared, wishing everyone a happy Diwali. This reportedly infuriated Muslim extremists on social media who accused him of being a 'false Muslim'.

Ridiculing the actor for celebrating Diwali despite being a Muslim, some trolls asked him how could he celebrate a Hindu festival. He was also asked by a troll to come up with greetings on Eid as well.
Another troll on Facebook shamed him for celebrating a Hindu festival.
Coming out in support of the actor, Shabana Azmi slammed the trolls for the vicious attack on Shah Rukh. In her tweet, she said, “Appalled to read that @iamsrk Diwali greeting invites wrath of rabid Islamists, gets called a “False Muslim” for sporting a tilak!”FUNDOS get a life! Islam is not so weak that it stands threatened by what is a beautiful Indian custom.”
