Ever since the news of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas wedding came out, Parineeti has been excited about hiding the groom's shoes and asking for a hefty money in return. The Namaste England actress had earlier revealed that she would not settle for anything less than 5 million USD (Rs 37 crore). But a day after the big fat Indian wedding, rumours started doing the rounds that Nick ended up paying only Rs 5 lakh as joota chhupai money.
Joota chhupai is a tradition followed across weddings in North India wherein the sister-in-law steals the shoes of the groom and then asks for money or gift in return.
However, Parineeti soon took to social media to quash the reports and revealed that Nick was more than generous.

Nick and Priyanka tied the knot at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Johdpur on December 1 and 2 in the presence of family and close friends. The couple revealed the dreamy pictures of their wedding ahead of their Delhi reception on Tuesday.
Buzz has it the newlyweds will take off to an exotic location for their honeymoon by the end of December. Priyanka is expected to return to sets of Sky Is Pink in early January 2019.
